Revell Germany Aircraft 1/48 Messerschmitt Bf109G10 Aircraft Kit
Designed by Messerschmitt and Lusser in 1934, the Bf 109 was one of the first truly modern aircraft of the era. Features such as a liquid-cooled V-12 engine, a closed canopy and retractable landing gear made the Bf 109 a huge improvement over WWI fighters. Powerful engines with superchargers and the option for extra guns, rockets, bombs or fuel tanks, made it a highly versatile fighter. Upgrades, variations, and field modifications kept the Bf 109 competitive through the end of the war.
